One of my favorite things to do while hanging out on the web,
is to
gaze at other parts of the world via web cams.

For those of you who haven't heard of this before, there are cameras set up all over the world that show you what it looks like live as it is happening. Some of these cameras are in public places, some are in
private places. Some people use their camera to show their office, their pet or living
room or the view out their window or in their taxi. You can watch views of bays, border crossings, or look at famous landmarks and see tourists. I love to see views of other countries, and the people that live there.

This first one is too cool! This web site has a free 30 day trial that you can get and see if you like it. You might get hooked though and want to actually pay for it.
Its called Earthviewer and it takes you to anyplace on earth where you can zoom in or zoom out. On some of the places you can see individual buildings, rivers, baseball diamonds and football fields, etc. "Fusing high-resolution satellite and aerial imagery, elevation data, GPS coordinates, and overlay information about cities and businesses, EarthViewer3D delivers a streaming, 3D map of the entire globe to PCs powered with NVIDIA GPUs." You should check it out!
